Hi there teachers!
So, I must admit. The 16th of the month is totally sneaky! Particularly this month, though, because I am about to finish grad school and Christmas is coming! SO CLOSE. It's all just sneaking up on me. Do you know the feeling? All of sudden, Christmas is here!
That being said, I don't have a ton of pictures to share with you today but I DO want to share a little freebie with you. If it's too late for you to use it, just tuck it away for next year.
:)
This was my very first product EVER (crazy!) and I still think it's great! Simple and purposeful. I shared it a loooong time ago on my personal blog, but didn't want to miss out on a chance to share something with you all! I was inspired by the literature below----specifically the Texas version and the Cajun version!
Thanks, Google Images, for the photos.
My extended family is from Louisiana and the Cajun version is SPOT. ON.
Y'all, it is hilarious!
Anyways, the poem inspired me to create a little ABC order activity using the words from the story! I love putting this activity in a station or using it as an informal assessment!
Using words from the popular poem (the regular version :)), students will alphabetically order 12 words and write their answers on the recording sheet provided.
Each card has the word + a picture to match! The 12 words are:
sleigh
reindeer
Santa
mouse
bed
stocking
house
toys
chimney
pack
bow
Christmas
You can find the full color version in my {store},
but I want to give you the black and white version as a freebie to all of my teacher friends!
