First up are these "welcome" signs. Hang them in your grade hallway or by your classroom door!
Involving parents in their child's education is always a super important component of classroom success. These K-2 informational handouts would be great to hand out at open house, include in your beginning of the year classroom packet, send home individually throughout the year, or discuss at parent conferences.
Finally, as we all know, enforcing classroom procedures and rules is essential at the beginning of the year. One area that is sometimes overlooked is the playground. I know I'm not the only one who always has a few kiddos who love to "go crazy" on the playground. On the first day of school I always have students read about our playground rules before going outside. Their first homework assignment is to read the rules to their parents.
I hope everyone has a fabulous school year! I will be back on September 9th (my birthday!)! :-)
By the way, if you haven't checked out the AMAZING Educents bundle for 2nd & 3rd Grade teachers, make sure to do so! For $30 you can receive products worth $201, including my President's Day Unit. You can read more about it here, including how to save $5. The deal ends on Sunday, August 11.
