Hello Sunshine!!

Hi there!  I'm Amy from Happy Teacher Heaven and I'm so excited to a part of Teaching Blog Round-Up!!

Today marks the official start of my summer break (hooray!!) and the conclusion of my 10th year of teaching.  I'm so proud to be an educator!  I enjoy change and the excitement of new challenges and opportunities.  I'm a National Board Certified Teacher and I've taught 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade (in that order).  I just kept movin' on up whenever there was an opening in the grade level above me!  This past year I came nearly full-circle by making a BIG move all the way down to kindergarten...and I fell in love with those sweet Kinders!!

As the year was coming to a close, I knew I wanted to thank the people who made this year manageable and enjoyable for me.  But, with 4 co-workers, 2 aides, and 15 parent volunteers -- I also knew I had to stick to a budget!!  I checked-out Pinterest, but nothing really resonated with me.  So, I decided to hit-up one of my favorite stores and hope that inspiration would abound!!

As soon as I saw these little beauties on the shelf, I knew my search was over!

As soon as I saw the name "Beautiful Day", I remembered reading a quote that used the same phrase in connection with kindness.  I couldn't remember it exactly, but I hoped knew it would be perfect!!  I scoured the store and managed to find 21 bottles...exactly what I needed!  I swear I could hear angels singing in the background.  ;)  And, even luckier, the mini-bottles of lotion were on sale 3/$10!!  

When I got home, I did a quick Google search and found the quote I'd been thinking of.

So, I whipped up some cute little gift tags, wrote a personal note of appreciation on the back of each tag, and got started assembling these sweet, little gifts!

They turned out FABULOUS!!

All-in-all, I was pleased to be able to give such a beautiful token of my gratitude to the people who gave me their support and encouragement all year long.  Kindness is awesome!!
